Missions College 2022
Missions College 2022 is a hands-on training event for pastors, church leaders, mission trip participants, and church members who are engaged in short-term missions or who are interested in partnering with field missionaries. IMB missionaries will be there to help you learn the skills and gain the knowledge you need to effectively engage the lost in cross-cultural settings. The Missions College program is designed to facilitate interaction and build relationships with IMB missionaries and staff as well as other Southern Baptists who share a passion for missions.
Prayer Requests January 7, 2021
One our newest church plants in Huixquilucan/Naucalpan had its pastor leave Mexico City and return to Colombia where his family currently lives (He is Venezuelan). This has been discouraging for the members of the new church. Please pray that God would provide a new pastor/leader that would be committed to shepherding this small group of believers.
Please pray that God would raise up national/Indigenous believers to work alongside our IMB missionaries in The Southern Indigenous Cluster (Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay). Pray that they would have the desire to reach the unreached.
Covid has been challenging for our IMB teams that work with US volunteers. Each country keeps changing the covid requirements and it is challenging to keep the information up to date. Pray for volunteers to be able to serve throughout the Americas. As US volunteers and national partners work together, pray for people to hear the gospel and for churches to be planted.
In Sao Paulo, we pray that U.S. churches will connect with Brazilian churches looking to start new works and commit to partnerships lasting 3-5 years. The need to plant new churches is great and these types of partnerships can be instrumental in advancing this goal.
It’s a New Year! We praise God for changed lives among the Indigenous in 2021. Pray for missionaries in the Indigenous cluster as we make New contacts, build New relationships, and seek New opportunities to share with people who have never heard the Good News.
